Our first “real” safari and our first trip with Ingrid. Everything was organised down to the smallest detail, from our arrival at Nairobi Airport, the first hotel where we were warmly welcomed by Ingrid, the lodges, all the way to the farewell at the airport 10 days later.

Ingrid has a fantastic team with drivers Amos and Geoffrey. Together with this amazing team, we set out in search of wildlife in their natural habitat. The enormous respect they have for nature and the animals is truly remarkable, and that is what makes the trip so special. We had already seen and photographed the Big Five within just a few days.

Back at the lodges, it was a pleasure to relax.  We lacked nothing. And thanks to the excellent tips during the photo reviews, we set off even better prepared for the next game drive. If you weren’t in the jeep with Ingrid, she would pass on the camera settings via walkie-talkie so you could still capture that perfect shot.

The group felt like a warm bath, always a place to turn to with questions, and full of great company and good times.  In short: one big celebration.
