As the partner of an amateur photographer and an avid birdwatcher myself, I dipped into my savings to join this safari. And I certainly didn’t regret it! With a good pair of image-stabilised binoculars, I was able to enjoy the incredible and wonderfully diverse wildlife up close and in great detail. I may not have captured any photographs myself, but the African wilderness is now firmly etched in my heart and in my memory. Apart from the animals and the breathtaking landscapes, there were the incredibly comfortable lodges, the delicious food beautifully presented with a real sense of artistry, and the warm hospitality of the Kenyan staff. The jeep drivers knew an incredible amount about nature and knew the area like the back of their hands. With their eagle eyes, they managed to spot every animal. Travelling with Ingrid makes you forget all your everyday worries. Her genuine, caring, knowledgeable and humorous personality immediately puts everyone at ease. A journey I will never forget — and one that already has me looking forward to the next one...
