Mara and Lake Magadi – Big cats, hides and flamingos 2025

This full 10 day photo safari takes you to two of Kenya’s gems.
 
The Masai Mara contains the best concentration and variety of animal species in the world, rivalled only by the Serengeti in Tanzania. So the photo opportunities are plentiful, and during this safari we will mainly be focusing on finding the big cats and the other predators of the Mara.

Lake Magadi is famous for its flamingos. We will be staying close to the lake in Lentorre Lodge, that we will have exclusively for our group. Here we can use a day and night hide and a bird hide, and we will be making an excursion to the shore of Lake Magadi for flamingo photography. A few helicopter flights over the colourful Lake Magadi are an option. This is straight from Lentorre and comes highly recommended!

You are 10 days on the spot. Calculate extra days for the international flights!
 
In the Masai Mara we have two 4x4 vehicles at our disposal, giving everybody ample space to photograph comfortably.
 
Accommodation is in comfortable to luxury lodges and tented camps in the middle of nature. All have a private bathroom (shower, toilet), electricity and provide hearty, delicious meals.
