For the second time, I travelled with Ingrid because the first time was so fantastic — not only because of the incredible amount of wildlife we saw, but also thanks to Ingrid’s outstanding organisation and dedication. Nothing is ever too much for her… the traveller always comes first.

The camps were amazing as well — wow… the people working there were friendly and always ready to help. Thanks to the great cooperation with the drivers and a bit of luck, we saw an enormous amount of wildlife: lions, elephants, leopards, cheetahs, and so much more. The breakfasts we had along the way were excellent, and sharing those moments together in the Masai Mara with such a wonderful group of fellow photographers made it even more special.

I could go on listing positive things, but the experience was times a thousand. In September, I’ll be ready to travel with Ingrid again. For now, I’ll keep enjoying my photos and reliving the memories of this trip.

Jubilee edition number 10 was full throttle from start to finish. From the very first day, we witnessed a lion climbing a tree to steal the prey of a young leopard. This was followed by a cheetah at sunset, playful lion cubs, a pride of lions devouring a buffalo, a mother leopard with a reedbuck in a tree… And then there were countless smaller wonders as well…

But none of this would have been possible without the tireless dedication of the irreplaceable Ingrid and the drivers Amos and Geoffrey. Their teamwork, professionalism, knowledge and good humour, combined with comfortable transportation and fantastic lodges, made this an unforgettable trip!!

Our first “real” safari and our first trip with Ingrid. Everything was organised down to the smallest detail, from our arrival at Nairobi Airport, the first hotel where we were warmly welcomed by Ingrid, the lodges, all the way to the farewell at the airport 10 days later.

Ingrid has a fantastic team with drivers Amos and Geoffrey. Together with this amazing team, we set out in search of wildlife in their natural habitat. The enormous respect they have for nature and the animals is truly remarkable, and that is what makes the trip so special. We had already seen and photographed the Big Five within just a few days.

Back at the lodges, it was a pleasure to relax.  We lacked nothing. And thanks to the excellent tips during the photo reviews, we set off even better prepared for the next game drive. If you weren’t in the jeep with Ingrid, she would pass on the camera settings via walkie-talkie so you could still capture that perfect shot.

The group felt like a warm bath, always a place to turn to with questions, and full of great company and good times.  In short: one big celebration.

Ingrid asked me to give feedback once again following my umpteenth safari trip with her. And I do so with great pleasure. Sorry, but once again I’m going to speak in superlatives: top-level organisation, top locations, … Ingrid, who always helps and supports everyone with words and actions and a big smile — whether it’s with photography, giving tips, or constantly checking if everything is OK with the accommodation, … And then we must not forget her drivers, Amos and Geoffrey. What a wonderful reunion. They are supermen: extremely skilful drivers (especially in the mud…), with eagle eyes, and they also know exactly how to position their vehicle for the best shots, …

Another amazing experience: I was able to celebrate my birthday in the Masai Mara. And I did so together with the other participants, Ingrid, but especially also with Amos and Geoffrey. An unforgettable moment. And once again, the farewell was very emotional — not only for me, but also for the other participants, for Ingrid, and for Amos and Geoffrey. Every time with a big lump in our throats…

Would I go on another safari with Ingrid? I can answer that with a wholehearted YES. It is and remains highly recommended. Be sure to check out her website and, if you have any doubts, definitely read the feedback from the participants. Everything written on her website is true and genuine. You will not be disappointed — quite the opposite.
